Masterclass: Artifical Intelligence in the Public Sector
with Prof. Jörn von Lucke

This Masterclass explores the transformative power of generative artificial intelligence in public administration, from smarter workflows and automated knowledge generation to innovative policy design, data‑driven decisions, and new risks. Participants dive into real-world European use cases, including creative brainstorming, municipal applications such as the local packaging tax, and experiment hands-on with AI tools in a digital sandbox. We examine how generative AI disrupts traditional processes, the skills and governance models needed, and the challenges of transparency, legality, and ethics.

International Research Symposium

The Research Symposium allows PhD students, academics, and professionals from across industries to present original research that combines theoretical rigour with practical relevance. With simultaneous abstract presentation and poster presentation sessions, presenters receive feedback from an expert panel.

DIGI+ logoDigi+: Transforming Data into Insight showcases eight postdoctoral projects spanning Legal, Ethical and responsible AI; Explainable AI and Transparent Data Governance; Sustainability and Drone Agriculture; and Historic Building Information Modelling and Human Motion Capture. GoGreen Trails Climate Walk

Led by Sara Lynch, a researcher on IVI’s GoGreen Next project, this leisurely walk around the greenery of Maynooth University’s campus foregrounds a planetary health perspective is used to promote dialogue on the interactions between human health and planetary health in light of climate change challenges.
