Her doctoral research at Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) developed an innovative framework for personalized therapeutic interiors, combining architecture, neuroscience, and human-computer interaction. This interdisciplinary approach reflects her belief that meaningful innovation comes from crossing disciplinary boundaries. Her research has led to a granted patent, for an indoor wayfinding system for built environments, reflecting her commitment to turning research into applicable design and innovation outcomes.
A core part of her work is using data to inform design decisions. She applies quantitative and qualitative research methods, data analysis, and digital tools to better understand how people interact with indoor environments and how design can respond to real user needs. Her expertise includes SQL, R, Tableau, and interdisciplinary research methods that support evidence-based and human-centered design.
As Ambassador of the Smart Healthy Age-Friendly Environment initiative in Europe and evaluator of COST Action open calls, she actively shapes the dialogue on smart, healthy, and age-friendly environments across Europe.
Dr. Elnimr is eager to collaborate with researchers, industry partners, and policymakers who share her vision of creating environments that are not only sustainable but also inclusive, supportive, and technologically innovative.
